Jermaine Stegall is an accomplished and dynamic composer and conductor whose work spans film, television, and live performance. With over 50 projects to his name, he has firmly established himself as a leading force in the world of musical underscore. Stegall is perhaps best known for composing the score to Coming 2 America, the highly anticipated sequel to the iconic Eddie Murphy comedy, which reunited Murphy, Arsenio Hall, and James Earl Jones in their beloved roles. His impressive portfolio also includes scoring Praise This for Universal Pictures, as well as Senior Year for Paramount Pictures, starring Rebel Wilson, and the recent Universal Pictures film Oracle.​

As a musical conductor, Stegall has showcased his talents on some of the biggest stages. He led the live string orchestra in a performance with Grammy-winning artist Tori Kelly at the 2019 ESPY Awards and conducted the orchestra for Camila Cabello's performance of "Consequences" at the 2018 American Music Awards. His conducting extends throughout the concert hall, and beyond pop music, as evidenced by his work scoring two seasons of Our Star Wars Stories, the original digital series from Lucasfilm and StarWars.com, where he crafted underscore for the heartfelt stories of Star Wars fans. 

Jermaine’s talent has earned him industry recognition at the BMI Film & Television Awards, a nomination for the MPSE Golden Reel Award for his score to the animated Netflix short film Canvas, and a Black Reel Award nomination for Best Original Score for his work on Praise This. A true creative force, Stegall continues to make his mark in both the film and music industries with his versatile and evocative music resonating across genres and generations.
